Well we have been here in KS again since around the first of Oct. We have been busy with appointments. Finished up at the Dental college on Nov 4.
Bill had VA appointments, getting new ear pieces for his hearing aids, his yearly checkup, getting some of the things frozen off his arm and head. Then he went to the Family Dr. because of his hip hurting him. They took x-rays said they was seeing something so off for a MRI. We waited and waited for the Dr to call and tell us what they was seeing. We didn't know if he would have to have surgery or what. After about a week of waiting he called and they couldn't find the report so had to call for one and told him we will get it today and call you back. Well they didn't!! So the next day we was back in Leavenworth and we just drove by the Dr's office to see what they had to say. Well the nurse didn't remember talking to him and after some searching they found the letter from them and it said he had bursitis. We waited for a while for the Dr to come out and he told him how unhappy we was and the Dr told him you can try Ice, or have a shot of steroids. He has been using the ice and walking but I think he will be going to the walk in clinic Tues and have the Dr put the shot in. So we will see from there. I think that will be the best go he needs to do something before we get on the road and it has been hurting him all summer. Every time I had bursitis it had to get the shot and then it goes away. So that has some of what is going on..
Yesterday we went to Bill and Crystals and I got a good playing with the great grand babies. They was putting in a new hot water tank and needed some help and they invited us for lunch. Bill got called out on a call but wasn't gone to long and they got the rest of the hot water tank put in. I will post some pictures of the babies today.
Isaiah is getting to be such a big boy, he goes to school three days a week and loves it. It's a Christan school and he learns his Bible verse and loves to tell you what they are. Angel goes to speech school a couple of days a week not sure how many days she goes but it's at a different school then Isaiah so Crystal gets a little break and just has the two babies on those days. Emily is a little doll, she is still the sneaky one but she has potty trained herself and will get up the night and go by her self. Thomas isn't doing much but more every time we see him. He is such a good baby, he sleeps most night's and gets tired of people holding him, when he does he will let you know he wants to be laid down. I got to hold him a lot yesterday since the others was in fixing lunch. I was the baby sitter and loved it. Emily got tired after lunch and crawled up beside me and Thomas and went to sleep.
Well this is enough about all of this.
We went Thursday and met up with some friends, Bill went in the Air Force with Bill and Art and we went and had lunch with them, Art brought a lady they all went to school with and we had a real nice visit with them. We got there before 11 and didn't leave until about 2:30. Betty didn't come she was home sick. We have not all be together for about 40 years or so. We really had a good visit and a good time.
We have taken our sofa and chair out and doing some remolding of the motor home. Our chairs are on order and we will sure be glad when they get here. We have been setting on lawn chairs for about three weeks now and it is doing a number on both of us. My back kills me most of the time, we move from one chair to another and then I will go lay on the bed for a while and Bill might lay on the floor. Lawn chairs are not good. We don't know if we are getting a desk or what but we have always hated the J sofa and it was such wasted space, so that is why we decided to do this.
I keep remembering things to write about so skipping around here some. I am feeling good most of the time. Did find out the other day not to get to cold it really bothered me so have to be careful and not get cold I guess. We will be glad when Nov. 28 gets here so we can head for TX for the winter. Heard it is in the 80's there. It has been cold here the last few mornings.
Well going to post some pictures now so you can all see the babies.
